The budget of the MA Programme in Linguistics provides, on an annual basis, a sum intended to support its students’ participation in national and international linguistics conferences.
In order to receive this financial support, students must submit to the Programme’s Coordinating Committee an application for conference participation funding (the form is available here). The application must state the name, date, and venue of the conference, and it must include the abstract of the paper they intend to submit. It must also specify the amount required for the conference registration fee.
The funding decision depends on the Coordinating Committee’s evaluation of the quality and suitability of the paper, as well as on the available budgetary reserves. If more than one application is submitted, the available funding will be divided among the students selected. The funding also covers the registration fee.
