Department of Linguistics

The MA in Linguistics welcomes students with a BA degree from all Departments of recognized Universities in Greece and abroad who are interested in high quality education specializing in Linguistics. The duration of study for the MA is 4 semesters (three semesters of courses and one semester for working on the MA dissertation). Apart from occasional visiting staff, all courses are offered in Greek.

Entry requirements:

• • A bachelor’s degree from a Greek research university or from a research university abroad, equivalent to the level of a Greek academic Bachelor’s degree
• • English language proficiency (C1)
• • Greek language proficiency (B2)

The admission procedure consists of:

• • a written exam on three subjects, which are announced each year
• • an interview
• • the evaluation of each candidate’s dossier submitted at the time specified by the announcement
