The Laboratory of Phonetics and Computational Linguistics supports research and teaching in the areas of speech perception and production, phonetics and phonology of Standard Modern Greek and its dialects, second language (L2) pronunciation, acoustics of atypical speech, theoretical and computational morphology, statistical natural language processing, text mining and information retrieval, and computer-assisted language learning.
The lab is a member of RobLabs, a consortium of 6 laboratories at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens conducting interdisciplinary research in digital humanities and beyond

The Department of Linguistics organizes research seminars (e-Seminars and in-person seminars) for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as the general public.
The e-seminars are conducted online via Webex. The link to each talk as well as the abstract will be posted one week before the talk.
The live seminars are hosted in the Phonetics & Computational Linguistics Laboratory, School of Philosophy, room 622.
